Perlindungan Hukum terhadap Konsumen dalam Jual Beli Online Studi Kasus Media Sosial Instagram

Online buying and selling transactions are basically the same as conventional buying and selling which distinguishes the media used. In this transaction, buying and selling activities become more efficient, effective and efficient. In addition to the benefits obtained, there are also disadvantages that must always be watched out, considering that this transaction between business actors and consumers cannot be face to face. This provides a great opportunity for businesses to violate consumer rights. When business actors and consumers make an agreement, both parties are bound and have obligations and rights that must be fulfilled. If one of the parties does not carry out the contents of the agreement in accordance with what has been agreed upon until a violation of consumer rights occurs, this is where the role of Legal Protection must be enforced. Consumer rights are regulated in article 4 of Act Number 8 of 1999 concerning Legal Protection while the obligations of Business Actors are regulated in Article 7 of the Law on Legal Protection. The consumer dispute resolution process can be carried out through 2 (two) channels, namely the court line and outside the court. The settlement of this dispute is chosen by the parties concerned and may not conflict with the applicable Law
