Implementasi Perlindungan Hukum Pendaftaran Merek Pada Seni Batik Di Kabupaten Blora (Studi Kasus Perajin Batik di Kecamatan Cepu)

Batik is a heritage of Indonesian ancestors from generation to generation. Batik artisans in Cepu Subdistrict, Blora Regency want to introduce to the community the haracteristic of batik owned by Cepu District. Where the development of batik in Cepu District is closely related to the trademark of the batik product. This study aims to determine the implementation of the legal protection of trademark registration in batik art in Cepu Subdistrict, problems experienced during brand registration and ways to overcome the problem of registering the brand. The research method used in this study is empirical juridical. The results of this study explain that the registration of the batik brand has not been fully carried out because two well-known batik brands in Cepu District have not been registered. Problems that occur in brand registration are about the lack of counseling about the brand, a long registration period if registering through the Regional Government, as well as concerns about the similarity of brands with registered brands first. Efforts to overcome the problem of brand registration from related agencies that handle trademark registration are by conducting continuous counseling, adding registration quota rations, granting brand registration facilities in accordance with legislation and instructing applicants for brand registration to always check DJKI's official website as a benchmark in brand registration
