Analisis Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Penyerapan Tenaga Kerja di Satuan Wilayah Pembangunan Gerbang Kertosusila Provinsi Jawa Timur

Unemployment is a macroeconomic problem that has been experienced by every country in the world, including in Indonesia. The GERBANGKERTOSUSILA Development Area Unit (Gresik, Bangkalan, Mojokerto Regency, Mojokerto City, Surabaya City, Sidoarjo Regency, Lamongan) located in East Java Province which is included as part of the Indonesian State, also faces the same problem. Effective prevention of unemployment requires an effort to increase employment 2 in a comprehensive manner from year to year. The main focus of unemployment reduction is about how to increase the amount of labor absorption more workforce that is able to be absorbed. Increasing the amount of labor absorption can be influenced by several factors including Economic Growth, Regency / City Minimum Wage (UMK), Foreign Investment (PMA ), as well as Domestic Investment (PMDN). Therefore this study aims to analyze the effect of economic growth, Regency / City minimum wages, foreign investment, and domestic investment on employment in the Gerbangkertosusila development area in East Java. The data used in this study is a type of panel data, namely combination data between time series and cross section. Time series data used in this study. Furthermore, for cross section data using 7 districts / cities incorporated in GERBANGKERTOSUSILA. The model used in this study is Random Effect Model (REM) because the model selection test results show numbers that match the criteria of the model. The results showed that the economic growth rate showed positive and not significant results, the minimum wage level (UMK) showed a positive and insignificant relationship, PMA with positive and significant results, while PMDN showed negative but not significant results
