Stres Kerja Pada Pekerja Rumah Tangga (PRT) Usia Dewasa Awal

The purpose of this study was to understand and describe the work of stress in domestic workers (PRT) in early adulthood. The research method used by the phenomenology whose data was collected through interviews with 6 main informants and 6 supporting informants. Determination of informants using purposive sampling technique. The main informants were domestic workers consisting of 3 female informants and 3 male informants aged 20-40 years in Surakarta, while supporting informants were one person who was close to domestic workers, namely the employer or spouse. The results of this study show that early adult domestic workers experience work with stressful physiological symptoms such as body aches, headaches, fever and lethargy, sleep disturbances, shortness of breath, and gastric disorders. While there are psychological symptoms that are felt like boredom, irritability and irritation, worry, stress, lack of concentration, sadness and anxiety. Besides these behavioral symptoms such as loss of appetite, lazy feeling, avoiding work, changing work productivity, and smoking. The factors that become the source of work stress in early adult domestic workers is doing more than one type of work, having definite numbers working hours, working equipment, additional work, relationships that are less harmonious with the employer, are bound by the rules given by the employer. Early adult domestic workers (PRT) face work stress by entertaining themselves, contacting and telling stories to family, taking a break and doing a physical fitness program. In addition, domestic workers are calm and relaxed, careful to do work, relax, pray and surrender to Allah. Then domestic workers are also patient, grateful, and keep doing work as their responsibility
