Hubungan Terapi Rehabilitasi Dengan Tingkat Kemandirian Activity Of Daily Living Pada Pasien Skizofrenia di Rumah Sakit Jiwa Daerah Surakarta

Schizophrenia is mental disorders are characterized by distinctive and fundamental distortions in mind and perception accompanied by the presence of dull or unnatural affects. In the world there are about 21 million people are exposed to schizophrenia and in general, chronic schizophrenia is disrupted in daily activities, so in the treatment of patients carried out various therapies, including rehabilitation. Rehabilitations in patient schizophrenia aims to improve the ability of the patient to be able to live independently in the community. This research is to know relation of rehabilitation therapy with level of independence activity of daily living in patient of schizophrenia in Surakarta Mental Hospital. This research method used analytical survey with Cross Sectional approach. The sample consisted of 42 schizophrenic patients in the inpatient room of Surakarta Mental Hospital in April 2018 and taken by using simple random sampling technique. The questionnaire used is the Katz index and the results of the research data are analyzed using Chi-Square. This study shows that there is a significant relationship between rehabilitation therapy with the level of independence activity of daily living in schizophrenic patients value (pvalue 0. 000). The results of the study stated that the routine implementation of rehabilitation therapy was needed in increasing daily activities in schizophrenic patients.
