Abstract: The paper is devoted to the actual problem – the fight against noise in urban areas. As a means of protection against noise the model of the acoustic screen-resonator is suggested. The screen-resonator consists of two chambers, one of which (the front) is a distributed Helmholtz resonator, and another (rear) forms a closed space used as a silencer. Authors consider the possibility of using such acoustic constructions to reduce noise levels in urban areas. The results of the experimental data are analyzed both in terms of a reflected sound signal, and the level of absorbed sound signal. The conclusions of the work are made
