A rede de enfrentamento à violência contra a mulher em Uberlândia/MG

The present dissertation has as object the Violence against women Confrontation Network in Uberlândia and it s acting to restrain and prevent gender violence in intra-family and marital environments, as well as the performance of the institutions that integrate them and currently based on Law 11.340/2006, also known as Maria da Penha Law. Such law created mechanisms to suppress and prevent violence against women in home and familiar environment, under the terms of article 226, paragraph 8º of the brazilian Constitution. The purpose is to restrain domestic violence, besides providing greater personal and professional autonomy to women in situations of violence. To understand the specificities of these interactions marked by intimacy, violence and affection, as well as the special treatment granted to them, we begin from gender studies and analyze the relationships of power resulting from asymmetrical gendered relationships between social subjects and, furthermore, the included related implications that refers to violence against women. In the analyzed ambience, it is perceived that gender relations are characterized by hierarchy, since exercising power doesn t occur equitably between women and men. Gender violence, in turn occurs in the context of this construction, being characterized by all form of violence that involves gender motivation regardless of the form or location it happens. The collected data in SOS Mulher Família, PAM, PM, TJMG and DEAM date from 2013, since they were the most current, considering that the year of the research was 2014, and also by being duly registered in these agencies, permitting a more accurate analysis of the current reality. The research problem consisted on verifying the processes and mechanisms of joint action of public entities and social organizations in confronting violence against women in city of Uberlândia-MG, as well as the impacts and results of such actions.Mestre em Ciências SociaisA presente dissertação tem como objeto a Rede de enfrentamento à violência contra a mulher em Uberlândia e sua atuação para coibir e prevenir a violência de gênero nos ambientes intrafamiliar e conjugal, bem como o desempenho das instituições que a integram e que atualmente é pautado na Lei 11.340/2006, também conhecida como Lei Maria da Penha. Tal lei criou mecanismos para reprimir e prevenir a violência contra a mulher no âmbito doméstico e familiar, nos termos previstos no art. 226, §8º, da Constituição Federal. Sua finalidade é coibir a violência familiar, além de conferir maior autonomia pessoal e profissional à mulher em situação de violência. Para entendermos as especificidades dessas interações assinaladas por intimidade, violência e afeto, bem como o tratamento especial a elas conferido, partimos dos estudos de gênero e analisamos as relações de poder decorrentes das relações sexuadas assimétricas existentes entre os sujeitos sociais e, ainda, as respectivas implicações referentes à violência contra as mulheres. No meio analisado, percebe-se que as relações de gênero são caracterizadas pela hierarquia, pois o exercício do poder não ocorre de maneira equitativa entre mulheres e homens. A violência de gênero, por sua vez ocorre no contexto dessa construção, sendo caracterizada por qualquer forma de violência que envolva motivação de gênero, independentemente da forma ou do local onde aconteça. Os dados levantados no SOS Mulher Família, PAM, PM, TJMG e DEAM datam de 2013, pois são os mais atualizados, considerando-se que o ano de realização da pesquisa foi 2014, e também por se encontrarem devidamente registrados nestes órgãos, permitindo uma análise mais precisa da realidade atual. O problema de pesquisa consistiu em verificar os processos e mecanismos de atuação conjunta dos entes públicos e organizações sociais no enfrentamento da violência contra a mulher na cidade de Uberlândia-MG, bem como os impactos e resultados de tais ações
