This project details the structural analysis of the wings of two Radio-controlled aircraft, designed by Equipe Tucano Aerodesign to attend the 2016 and 2017's SAE Brasil AeroDesign competition. The software Femap® was used to elaborate the finite element models. The models have been adjusted with the data provided by the Ground Vibration Test and then validated by static tests, which has shown low errors, confirming the high efficiency of the finite element method (FEM). Different failure criteria were used to evaluate if the structures were able to resist all load cases.
