Potential of water in coffee leaf irrigated with and without electromagnetization

The water potential in the leaf describes the energy status of the plant, whose gradients explain the water fluxes in the soil - plant - atmosphere system, so it is of great importance to monitor the water status and the water stress dynamics of crops of economic interest as the coffee tree. The experiment evaluated the potential of water in the irrigated coffee leaf when submitted to different magnetized water slides in Monte Carmelo, Minas Gerais. Irrigations were made in 8 coffee lines, 4 using non-magnetized water and 4 magnetized, and in the second treatment we used magnetized water slides of 50%, 75%, 100% and 125%. Sixty-six leaves of the experiment were analyzed in advance and analyzed for their water potential in the leaf by the Scholander chamber. The water potential in the leaf showed no significant difference between the treatments and the slides in the period of higher precipitations. O experimento avaliou o potencial de água na folha de cafeeiro irrigado quando submetido a diferentes lâminas de água magnetizada na região de Monte Carmelo, Minas Gerais. Foram feitas irrigações em 8 linhas de café sendo que 4 utilizando água não magnetizada e outras 4 magnetizadas, sendo que no segundo tratamento utilizamos lâminas de água magnetizada de 50%, 75%, 100% e 125%. Quinzenalmente foram colhidas antemanhã 64 folhas do experimento e analisadas, quanto ao seu potencial de água na folha pela Câmara de Scholander. O potencial de água na folha não demonstrou diferença significativa entre os tratamentos e as lâminas no período de maiores precipitações. Porém nos períodos de déficit hídrico o tratamento de água eletromagnetizada apresentou dados positivos e entre as lâminas a de 100% e 125% tiveram maior êxito
