This study had the objective of the historic the geneses of the Institute Teresa Valsé Pantellini in Uberlândia, with the purpose to construct an interpretative reading of its educational value, between the years 1959, the date of installation of the institute in the city, and the beginning of 1971, the moment when the school started to also admit in the school registration of pupils from masculine sex.
