This thesis analyzes processes of social transformations lived by the young people from the urban periphery of Uberlândia in the past two decades. The periodization between 1990 and 2016 it is effective as a thought of some processes of change referring to the constitution of social projects and achievement of rights that involves youths. In the quest to understand those processes it has been analyzed several types of documents, such as local newspapers, laws, official publications and 21 century researches about themes and problems related to Brazilian youth.
