Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) is one of the most destructive pests of vegetables and ornamental crops in the world. The development of resistance to most synthetic insecticides by this insect pest has necessitated a search for alternative methods of controlling it.
