ANALISIS FAKTOR PERILAKU ORANG TUA DALAM PERAWATAN KESEHATAN GIGI TERHADAP KEJADIAN KARIES GIGI PADA SISWA KELAS I DAN II SDI SURYA BUANA MALANG

Background: The behavior of parents is one of the factors that influence the degree of dental and oral hygiene in children. These behaviors include cognitive activities (knowledge), emotions (attitudes) and konasi (actions). A bad behavior of parents can affect children's dental health, especially dental caries. Caries disease occurs due to damage to the dental tissue that starts from the tooth enamel and spread to the bone of the tooth. Method: This research is cross sectional with purposive sampling technique. Using chi square data analysis to determine the relationship and multiple logistic regression analysis to determine the dominant factor. The independent variable consists of dental caries, while the dependent variable is the knowledge, attitudes and actions of parents. Results: Chi square test obtained p value 0.022 <0.05 (knowledge), p value 0.001 <0.05 (attitude), p value 0.036
