ANALISIS GAYA BAHASA PADA NOVEL MENJADI TUA DAN TERSISIH KARYA VANNY CHRISMA W

Language style is one of the characteristics of each individual to express his feelings and become a differentiator between one individual and another individual. In novels Menjadi Tua Dan Tersisih by Vanny Chrisma W re are various styles of language, for that research on the style of this language needs to be done. The problems that want to be examined in this study are (1). Type of Style What languages are contained in Menjadi Tua dan Tersisih by Vanny Chrisma W, (2). what is the function of the style of language found in the novel Menjadi Tua dan Tersisih by Vanny Chrisma W. Therefore, this study aims to describe the types of language styles, namely, simile, personification, hyperbole, metaphor and litotes. This study uses a qualitative approach, while the type of research is descriptive. Sources of data obtained from the novel Becoming Old and Left Out (A Human Novel Without Meaning) by Vanny Chrisma W. Novel with a thickness of 306 pages is the first print published by Diva Press Jogjakarta, this novel consists of 18 chapters. The research data are linguistic exposures that contain the style of language found in the novel Menjadi Tua dan Tersisih by Vanny Chrisma W. Data collection techniques in this study by grouping language styles according to function and type. Data processing techniques use analysis of data identified, classified and encoding the problem under study. Based on the data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of the language style in the novel Menjadi Tua dan Tersisih by Vanny Chrisma W namely. (1) the type of language style found in the novel of Menjadi Tua dan Tersisih by Vanny Chrisma W, it can be concluded, (a) comparative language styles, among others: parable 11 data, metaphor 2 data and personification 18 data (b) language style conflict this namely: hyperbole 14 data and litotes 2 data. (2) The function used in the novel of Menjadi Tua dan Tersisih by Vanny Chrisma W, which is to concretize, compare, affirm, refine, beautify and insinuate.
