In this final project different synthetic routes have been followed to obtain new ruthenium (II) complexes. These compounds have been synthesized with the intention of characterizing them completely so that their potential as anti-tumor can be evaluated. The synthesis of two families of ruthenium compounds is described. On the one hand, compound [RuIICl2(DMSO)2(bpy-Cl2)] [2] has been synthesized from [RuII(DMSO)4Cl2] in the presence of the bpy-Cl2 ligand. This compound has two chlorido ligands, two DMSO ligands and a symmetric ligand bpy-Cl2, being thus an octahedral complex.
