Background & Aims: Diabetes occurring as a direct consequence of loss of liver function is usually characterized by non-diabetic fasting plasma glucose (FPG) and haemoglobin A 1c (HbA 1c ) levels and should regress after orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT).
