Many patients with drug-resistant epilepsy are considered as candidates for surgery in order to remove the tissue capable of generating epileptic seizures. Precise localization of this tissue is critical for a good surgery outcome. Different non-invasive and invasive tests are involved to localize the resection zone. High Frequency Oscillations (HFOs; 80-500Hz) are spontaneous short-duration small-amplitude EEG patterns which are mainly detectable in intracranial recordings.
