The growing ubiquity of internet-connected devices has led to increased interest in the Internet of Things. As the pace of IoT development accelerates, new paradigms are being developed that can fully utilize the potential benefits of this new computing trend. One such paradigm is fog computing, in which data processing is moved toward the edge, allowing more localized devices to handle tasks that would have previously been assigned to the cloud.
