The objective of this research was to describe the prevalence and determinants of condom use among HIV-infected African-American women. Promoting this behavior is of great public health concern because of the known efficacy of condoms in curbing the spread of HIV to uninfected male partners, and in protecting the health of immunosuppressed women against infection with sexually transmitted pathogens.
