Agricultural workers are among the professional groups most at risk of developing acute or chronic respiratory problems. Despite this fact, the etiology of these occupational diseases is poorly known, even in important sectors of agriculture such as the crops sector. A chronic exposure to multiple microorganisms, such as different bacterial and fungal species, has been proposed to be the cause of these multiple respiratory pathologies.
