Copyright © International Psychogeriatric Association 2017 Background:: Providing effective support to the increasing number of people with dementia to remain at home is a challenge for families, health professionals, service providers, and governments worldwide. The aim of this paper was to summarize and disseminate the current international research evidence on the met and unmet needs of people with dementia and their carers, to inform researchers and policy-makers.
