China's strong economic prospects and trade complementarity has driven the rapidly expanding commercial relationship with many countries worldwide since gaining World Trade Organisation (WTO) membership, underpinned by many years of programmed economic reform and development. Nevertheless, the globalisation of business has accentuated the difference in business strategy orientation between Chinese and Western organisations, which makes it imperative to develop an instrument to evaluate the business strategy orientation in the Chinese business context.
