Aim: To evaluate the effectiveness and suitability of 'The Ward' as a simulation game to promote and support students' understanding of decision making, critical thinking and team work in clinical practicesituations. Background: Students commonly indicate that there is a 'gap' between the theory and practice aspects oftheir nursing education.
