Although information technology investments in business organizations are growing rapidly, IT executives in business organizations have great difficulties in justifying increasing IT spending and in measuring the benefits of these investments. This research study aims to investigate current practices and norms in managing, governing, and evaluating IT investments by IT executives in business organizations. The survey findings revealed that the effectiveness and support of business-to-business electronic commerce did not have a significant positive impact on the use of IT investment evaluation methodologies.
