This paper describes control methods for proper load sharing between parallel converters connected to microgrid in a distributed generation system. The system stability is investigated during load sharing for safe operation and proper control. The dynamic response of the system is compared under different load conditions. Both inertia-less and inertial loads are considered in grid connected and islanded modes. A smooth transition between the grid connected and islanded mode is achieved. Its efficacy has been validated through simulation for various operating conditions.
