Abstract

This folder holds a report on the internment of Japanese Peruvians during WWII in the United States and the post-WWII occurrences related to the internment. This report looks at the history of Japanese Peruvian internment, relocation, or deportation, and the role of the U.S. in the internment of Japanese Peruvians. This report also looks at the experiences of those who were interned, anti-Japanese laws and environment, racism during WWII, the internment program, war crimes, factors contributing to Japanese Peruvian deportation, other Latin American countries who treated those of Japanese descent similarly, and related court cases
