Nonlinear model order reduction for MPD Systems

Automated Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) is a method for fast and accurate pressure control in drilling operations. The performance of automated MPD is limited, firstly, by the control system and, secondly, by the hydraulics model\u3cbr/\u3ebased on which this control system is designed. Thus, an accurate model is needed that, additionally, is simple enough to facilitate the use of high performance control design methods. In this abstract an approach for nonlinear Mo
