This doctoral thesis deals with the sites and different stages of ceramic production in the Gulf of Taranto between the 8th and 6th centuries B.C. We propose an integrated analysis of the archaeological remains of workshops.The historical framework of this work relates to the « precolonial » phenomenon, which can exhibit possible changes inpottery craft at the time of the arrival of Greek groups on the southern coasts of Italy.
