Improving outcomes for teenagers and young adults (TYA) with cancer is a key element of the national cancer strategy in England. Recognition of the unique needs of this group has led to the development of recommendations for specific models of care and delivery of this care through the provision of dedicated clinical units in principal treatment centers (PTCs) across the United Kingdom.
