The evidence base for prevention of falls in older people continues to grow, yet implementation of successful strategies has been slow. Moreover, despite a reasonable knowledge base, non-evidence-based services are being developed and receiving funding. Excellent guidelines exist to inform commissioners and service providers alike. This paper serves to provide simple and digestible guidance on the key components of a comprehensive falls service as derived from the existing evidence base.</p
