The United Kingdom has a unique constitutional landscape in comparison to any other nuclear state. Due to devolution within the UK the current pro-nuclear policy faces a challenge not previously encountered. Competence to legislate in certain areas is now shared with the Scottish government and regional assemblies in Wales and Northern Ireland.
