The lack of a spiritual dimension (moral and ethical) in leadership, which frames the development of moral value--from business and politics to family and education--has become a key factor contributing to negative consequences caused by unethical leaders. Both Eastern and Western society also lack an in-depth understanding of how the spiritual leadership practices of Vietnamese Buddhist monks might/may be models of moral and ethical leadership for others in the larger society.
