Abstract

Dr. Josephine Baker graduated from the Women's Medical College in New York in 1898. Dr. Baker was the first woman to be associated with the League of Nations in a professional capacity and organized the first Child Health Bureau. Dr. Baker was active in the Suffrage Movement and an advocate of women's rights. Dr. Josephine Jackson was a graduate of Northwestern University Woman's Medical School in 1896. Dr. Jackson was the first woman intern at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinoi. The two doctors are together in this photo
