The increasing legislation pressure, risks associated with micropollutants, and the insufficient efficacy of conventional WWTPs on their removal have formed a joint driving force that is boosting studies on more efficient treatment technology. The general objective of this thesis is to contribute to a better understanding and further development of photochemical treatment processes for micropollutant removal from aqueous streams.
