In this paper we present a novel technique for the design of overlapped subarrays for limited field of view applications. In the proposed technique, each subarray consists of directly fed antenna elements and passive reactive loading elements. As it will be shown by reusing the passive elements in multiple subarrays it is possible to achieve the subarrays overlapping. The main advantages of the presented solution is the elimination of the need for a complex beam-forming network and a drastic reduction of the number of control point
