This note is devoted to the stabilization of a particular class of nonlinear cyclo-passive systems, namely, gradient-like systems. In order to accomplish the control task, we explore alternate representations of those systems with the aim of identifying (new) storage functions. Then, those storage functions are used to design a passivity-based controller that addresses the regulation problem without the necessity of solving partial differential equations
