Use of rhymes and poems during music and movement activities at pre - school

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of rhymes and poems in musical and physical activities of children in kindergarten and is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part consists of two chapters. The first chapter deals with music education in kindergarten and describes the characteristics of children of preschool age regarding music, motivation of children's musical performance, playing musical instruments in kindergarten, music and movement in the life of the child and the importance of music for the development of the child. The second chapter concerns musical education and is divided into singing, instrumental, musical and listening activities. In the practical part there are elaborated suggestions for musical activities using rhymes and poems that are focused on seasons of the year. Musical activities aimed at winter were included in the research and realized with preschool children in kindergartens in České Budějovice, Humpolec and Jindřichův Hradec. During the realization, the observation method and an interview were used, also a detailed evaluation took place during the realization. Additional proposals for musical activities for spring, summer and autumn based on the results of the research are included
