PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI ANTAR PRIBADI DI LUAR KELAS TERHADAP PRESTASI AKADEMIK (SURVEI PADA MAHASISWA PRODI BIMBINGAN DAN KONSELING FAKULTAS KEGURUAN DAN ILMU PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITAS AHMAD DAHLAN YOGYAKARTA)

Communication is the foundation of all human interaction, and all the functions of our daily life group are equipped with communication, and continue with others. Communication can be done anywhere and through some media to communicate, such as communication done in the learning process. Communicating can generate knowledge for us, as well as sending interpersonal with subjects or fellow students. Interpersonal communication is the process of sending and sending messages between two individuals or some small individuals spontaneously and informally. This study uses the social exchange theory, this theory which states that interpersonal relationships are personal experiences, Richard West, Lynn H. Turner (2011: 217). This study used survey method to get answers from respondents, in this study researchers used 71 respondents as a sample, respondents who are active students of the study program Guidance and Counseling Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta 2016. Based on the calculation used using the coefficient of determination, obtained R Square value of 0.611. This shows that the variables of academic performance between interpersonal communication is 61,1% from result (r2 x 100%). While the remaining 38.9% by other factors not examined in the study
