Sorption equilibria and rate data were determined for the uptake of sodium chloride in aqueous solutions on a new type of salt retardation resin (Bio-Rad AG 11A8). Equilibrium isotherms are shown to be linear over a broad concentration range, and it is demonstrated that elution with distilled water prior to usage significantly increases sorption capacity
