Reviews the history, distribution and habitat requirements of feral pigs in Australia, and examines research undertaken in the distribution of disturbance caused by feral pigs in different plant communities in the Girraween National Park. Only 1% of the open forest was disturbed, whereas nearly 40% of the non-forest plant communities were disturbed. Implications for the management of vegetation in Girraween are discussed.-from Autho
