Effect of anthropogenic resources on wild boar (Sus scrofa Linnaeus, 1758) presence in the urban area of Barcelona

The presence of wild boar has increased around cities, and in urban areas, in part due to feeding from human. This study was developed in the peri-urban area of Barcelona, where animals go into the city due to the fact that Collserola Natural Park - the natural habitat for wild boars - is next to the city. The aim of this study is describing and classifying Potential Feeding Points and contrasting them with wild boar presences in order to establish the attraction factors of these points for wild boars inside the city.La presència de porc senglar ha augmentat a les ciutats, i en zones urbanes, en part degut a l'alimentació per part d'humans. Aquest estudi es va dur a terme a la zona periurbana de Barcelona, on els animals entren a la ciutat degut a que tenen el Parc Natural de Collserola (el seu hàbitat natural) al costat. La finalitat d'aquest estudi és descriure i classificar els potencials punts d'alimentació i contrastar-los amb la presència de porcs senglars per establir els factors d'atracció d'aquests punts pel porc senglar a la ciutat
