Perceptions of Leadership and Skills Development in Academic Libraries

The purpose of this research is to investigate the perceptions of leadership in academic libraries and how leaders and administrators build their understanding of dynamic and successful leadership. The study examines of nine private and public institutions library director, manager and head librarian were included in order to find dynamic leadership skills, responsibilities at workplace, their satisfaction and institutional support to leadership. The study also focuses on how can leaders update their skills and competencies for the future leadership of academic libraries and what are the challenges and methods to increase leadership abilities.
