L’école comme terrain de recherche ethnographique : observation participante et entretiens des acteurs

School ethnography, descendant of the Malinowski’s primitive societies éthography, is a relevant method to study this complex and delicate ground, evolving in a context governed by specific rules, with a specific structure. My position is in an interactive account by adopting participatory observation as a research posture. During my eight-month immersion in an approved school situated in Antananarivo, during which I made sure to establish the most cordial relationship possible with students to reduce the risk of transformation of reality caused by the presence of a person external to the institution, I made observations and unstructured interviews that are to use listening and reformulation discourse markers. Rather than give definitive answers, field work still pose more questions about how to approach an unpredictable field.Aborder l'école comme terrain d'investigation de productions langagières en interaction requiert une méthode alliant respect de l'institution et adaptation constante aux facteurs humains. L'ethnographie scolaire, descendante de l'éthographie des sociétés primitives de Malinowski, constitue une méthode pertinente pour étudier ce terrain complexe et délicat puisqu'évoluant dans un contexte régi par des règles précises, ayant une structure précise. Je me positionne dans une perspective interactionniste en adoptant l'observation participante comme posture de recherche. Durant mon immersion de huit mois dans une école homologuée d'Antananarivo, pendant laquelle j'ai fait en sorte d'établir la relation la plus cordiale possible avec les élèves pour diminuer le risque de transformation de la réalité causé par la présence d'une personne externe à l'institution, j'ai effectué des observations et des entretiens non directifs qui consistent à utiliser de marqueurs discursifs d'écoute et de reformulation.
