The principles of Decent Work inspire today the struggle against poverty and the promotion of an equitable, inclusive and sustainable development. The eradication of slavery and juvenile labour are the absolute priorities. Anyway, freedom of choice, equitable salary, safety and salubriousness, respect, absence of discriminations are necessary conditions, in the aim of decent work for all. A political and economic system based on decent work principles must guarantee social protection to those that cannot work (e.g. sick workers, invalids, elderlies, unemployed).
