August, 2015Introduction Cholera is one of the major public health problems in Malawi; with outbreaks occurring every year since 1998, mostly in the Southern region of Malawi, either during the rainy season or sometimes throughout the year (1). It is mainly due to insufficiency of drinking water and sanitation, under-employment, reduced education and poor schooling (1).
