A dissertation submitted to the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa in fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science. 2016This project explored the ecological conditions of aquatic breeding sites of Anopheles gambiae sensu lato immatures in the Lowveld region of eastern Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. The aim was to determine the environmental conditions influencing anopheline abundance as well as abiotic parameters which associated with vector productivity.
