Purpose of this study is to explore the perceptions of 44 Philosophy students of the Faculty of Science and Arts, who were assessed using portfolio assessment within the scope of the educational technology and material design course taught in the teacher training program, towards the portfolio assessment method and its instruction. The present study was conducted within the phenomenological framework, one of the qualitative research methods. The data were collected through an open-ended questionnaire and analyzed using content analysis techniques.
