Öğretmen Adaylarının Bilgisayar Yaşantıları ve Bilgisayar Tutumları Arasındaki İlişkiler

The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between computer experiencesand computer attitudes of student teachers. The sample is consisted of 301 fourth year studentteachers from 8 different majors of Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty in 2003-2004 academic year. The data were collected by using a questionnaire for the computerexperiences and Computer Attitude Scale- Marmara (CAS-M) for the computer attitudes ofstudent teachers. The data were analysed by using descriptive and correlational statisticaltechniques. Some of the major findings are as follows: (a) Majority of student teachers had nocomputer courses in their primary education (96,3%) and secondary education (73,8%); (b)Computers had not been widely used for other purposes in teaching/learning processes instudent teachers’ lessons in primary (99,3%) and secondary (88,0%) education levels; (c) Onthe other hand 84,7% of student teachers had a computer course during their universityeducation and 43,9% of them reported that computers had been used for some other purposesin their lessons; (d) 50,3% of student teachers have computers at home; (e) Computerattitudes of student teachers were found to be moderate; (f) No significant differences werefound between computer attitudes and sex, having INTERNET connection at home, having acomputer lesson in primary education and in university, computer use for other purposes inprimary education; (g) Significant differences were found between computer attitudes and,having computer lessons in secondary education, computer use in the classroom for otherpurposes (beside teaching computers) in secondary education and in university; (h)Significant differences were found between self efficacy and computer attitudes.Key words: Computer attitudes, computer anxiety, computer literacy, computerattitude scale, computer experience, preservice teachers.Öğretmen Adaylarının Bilgisayar Yaşantıları ve Bilgisayar Tutumları Arasındaki İlişkile
