Estrategia educativa sobre el aborto en adolescentes

An intervention study was carried out to apply an educational strategy on abortion in adolescents of the University Polyclinic "Asdrúbal López Vázquez" in the period January 2010 - January 2011. The universe is of 52 adolescents of a clinic and the sample is 25 adolescents female Variables such as: sex,age of first sexual intercourse and first abortion, knowledge of adolescents about abortion, complications and risks are used. The information is obtained from a form applied before and after the educational diagnosis, with prior informed consent. The age of the first sexual intercourse and first abortion that predominated most was 17 years. After the educational intervention, more than 90% were able to acquire knowledge about abortion, its complications, risks and conduct to avoid it.Se realiza un estudio de intervención para aplicar una estrategia educativa sobre el aborto en adolescentes del Policlínico Universitario “Asdrúbal López Vázquez” en el período Enero 2010 – Enero 2011. El universo es de 52 adolescentes de un consultorio y la muestra es de 25 adolescentes del sexo femenino. Se utilizan variables como: edad de la primera relación sexual y primer aborto, conocimiento de las adolescentes sobre el aborto, complicaciones y riesgos. La información se obtiene de un formulario aplicado antes y después de realizado el diagnóstico educativo, con previo consentimiento informado. La edad de la primera relación sexual y primer aborto que más predominó fue los 17 años. Después de la intervención educativa se logró que más del 90 % adquiriera conocimientos sobre el aborto, sus complicaciones, riesgos y conducta para evitarlo.
