Utilidad de la cartografia cerebral en el diagnóstico del Trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the usefulness of Brain Cartography in the diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) as well as its ability to differentiate population with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder from control subjects without diagnosis and with other psychopathological diagnoses.The high prevalence of the disorder (3-5%) that affects the child population and the chronicity of this disorder make it an important problem. To this is added the difficulty for diagnosis, the absence of objective tests that describe the degree of involvement.Clinical neurophysiology offers techniques that support, guide and quantify the disorder. These techniques collaborate in the orientation and therapeutic management of these patients, allowing a follow-up of the response to different therapeutic strategies used in these patients.El propósito de esta investigación fue evaluar la utilidad de la Cartografía cerebral en el diagnóstico del Trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad, (TDAH) así como su capacidad para diferenciar población con Trastorno por déficit de atención con hiperactividad de sujetos controles sin diagnóstico y con otros diagnósticos psicopatológicos.La elevada prevalencia del trastorno (3-5%) que afecta a la población infantil y a la cronicidad de este trastorno lo convierten en un importante problema. A esto se le añade la dificultad para el diagnóstico, la ausencia de pruebas objetivas que describan el grado de afectación.La neurofisiología clínica ofrece técnicas que apoyan, orientan y cuantifican el trastorno. Estas técnicas colaboran en la orientación y manejo terapéutico de estos pacientes, permiten un seguimiento de la respuesta a distintas estrategias terapéuticas utilizadas en estos paciente
